Task Force 86 is a squad for Armed Assault 2 that bases itself on an international task force of Special Forces with support elements. The basic premise of the squad is to take part in realistic operations and training exercises in a developing storyline that is dependent on the outcome of previous operations.

The storyline, provided by the WNN updates and intelligence documents, can be transformed by the performances of the members of the squad in game, eventually changing the fate of the task force on their operations around the world.
Task Force 86 operations are connected by an interlinking and developing storyline following the task force on various operations around the world. Before the start of each mission, a meeting takes place to discuss possible execution and leadership roles.

The structure of Task Force 86 gives us more flexibility from operation to operation. Being an international task force of Special Forces caters for a much wider range of possible missions and scenarios. Our mission making team create a high level of realism and immersion in our operations, and with the running storyline throughout our campaigns, the experience is truly unique.
Applicants must undergo a short selection process to join.
Phase 1 of the evaluation includes a short night time navigation exercise followed by a rifle range.
Phase 2 consists of a navigation exercise where the applicant will move covertly in and out of OPs to collect intel on an enemy position.
Phase 3 will test applicants on their survival, navigation and escape and evasion skills in a SERE exercise.
