Task Force 86 is an international squad for mature minded Armed Assault 2 players. The staff members have known each other since the days of Operation Flashpoint so the squad has a very friendly atmosphere. We don't take ourselves deadly seriously however, in game a certain level of discipline is expected of every member. We expect members to be able to follow orders without raising an issue or causing a debate.

There are no ranks in TF86, just roles. We are all friends and we are all adults so we don't feel the need to enforce a rank structure however, a chain of command will be enforced from the senior members and those in leadership roles. Not all of us are military trained but regardless of that the training that you receive should be taken on board as everything you learn will be put into practice and tested during operations.
Your application is important to us to determine whether or not you will fit in with the community so please take your time over it and be honest. Within 24 hours a senior member will be in touch to arrange an interview and after passing this, Phase 1 of selection will start at your convenience. After passing all phases of the selection process you will be awarded a probationary position in the squad and begin training.

The application process is simple. If you have read the above section and are interested please head over to the forums, sign up and fill out an application form.
New members can specify their preferred roles in the squad on the application form. During the selection process applicants will have their skills evaluated, and roles will be assigned by taking into account both their performance and their original preferences. Training will be offered to assist applicants in obtaining their preferred roles.

Task Force 86 members will have their performance and attendance monitored throughout all training exercises and combat operations. This system will ensure the correct applicants are commended for their achievements; either in the form of leadership positions, or selection for limited places on operations.
